How usage works
You pay in plain dollars, not credits.
Each plan includes a monthly dollar allowance. A standard item is $0.40. Premium image models cost more to run, so they are $1.20. Go past your allowance and it keeps counting at the same rate, no surprise jump, and there's a built-in safety cap: past $200.00 of extra usage in a cycle, generation stops until you say otherwise. A runaway bill is not possible.

Pricing questions
How does the per-sale fee work?
On top of your monthly plan, MerchLab takes a small cut of each sale you make, 5% on Starter and Maker, 3% on Pro, and 0% on Studio. It only ever applies to orders you actually make, it comes off the sale price (not shipping or tax), and it's billed on the same monthly invoice as your plan, so you get one clean total.
What happens if a sale is refunded?
The fee is reversed automatically, you're never charged the percentage on money you didn't keep. No sale, no fee.
How does the free trial work?
Your first 6 items are free with no card at all. When you pick a plan you get a 7 day trial with 20 more items, and you're only charged when the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.
What counts as an item?
An item is one design generation, made and scored end-to-end. Most items use one from your monthly allowance. Premium image models cost more to run, so they use a few.
Do unused items roll over?
No. Your allowance refreshes with each billing cycle and doesn't carry over, which keeps pricing simple and predictable.
Can I change plans?
Anytime. Upgrade for bigger batches and premium models, or downgrade if your volume drops. Changes take effect on your next cycle.
Do I need my own Printify account?
Yes, that's the model. Designs publish into your own Printify account so you keep full ownership of your catalog and margins.
